AI Anyone MCP server: put real people inside your assistant

AI Anyone runs a free remote MCP server. Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets an AI assistant call an outside tool mid conversation, and this one hands the assistant the same roster of 13,000+ characters that powers aianyone.com. Ask for a person and they arrive in their own voice. Ask for two, and you can watch them argue it out properly.

What the connector does

• Find someone worth asking. Describe a subject and get a grid of real people to pick from, each with a portrait and a role.
• Speak as one of them. Name a person and they arrive as a card, with a sourced account of how they actually spoke and what they knew in their own lifetime. The reply comes back in their voice.
• Stage a real argument. Put two people on a question. Each turn, one speaker is privately given an aim the other never sees, so neither side is written by someone who can read the other's hand.

Adding it takes one URL

It is live today. No account, no API key, no OAuth and nothing to install. In any assistant that supports custom connectors, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector, and paste https://mcp.aianyone.com/mcp. Pasting that URL is the whole setup. In Claude Code it is one line in a terminal: claude mcp add --transport http aianyone https://mcp.aianyone.com/mcp. Longer notes live at mcp.aianyone.com/docs.

We are not sure we should finish this

Everything above is real. It is built, it is deployed, and it does what this page says. What we do not have is evidence that anyone wants it. We installed the connector in a real assistant account and asked the questions it was built for, things like what Marcus Aurelius would say about burnout. The assistant answered every one by itself and never reached for the connector. Not once, on two different models.

That is not a bug on our end. It is how connectors get discovered right now, which is to say mostly they do not. So rather than polish something nobody asked for, the page asks first, through a short form: where you would use this, what you would want it to do, and an optional email. If enough people ask, we finish it properly. Either way the server stays up.

For the technically curious

• Remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP, protocol version 2025-06-18. It works in anything that speaks MCP.
• Four tools and three prompts, all documented at mcp.aianyone.com/docs.
• No authentication, no account, and it never sees your conversation.
• It reads a public roster of characters and stores only a short lived debate session of its own. It handles no payment, health or identity data and has nowhere to put any.

What is an MCP server?

MCP is the Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets an AI assistant use an outside tool. An MCP server is that tool. You add it once by URL and the assistant can call it during a conversation. AI Anyone runs one at mcp.aianyone.com/mcp.

Can two characters really debate each other?

Yes, and it is not one voice writing both sides. Each turn, the server privately hands one speaker a single aim the other never sees, and it decides who speaks next, so neither position can be written to lose. The exchange runs until it settles, up to eight turns, and comes back as one transcript.

Will it keep working if you do not finish it?

Yes. The server is live and stays live regardless of what this page decides. What is on hold is the extra work: directory listings, the surfaces we skipped and the features we cut.
