You need a free account for both. Browsing every character page is open to anyone, but sending a message and starting a call both require signing in. A call additionally has to be attached to an account because it is a live session, which is also how the conversation gets saved back into your chat afterwards.
Yes. Every character on AI Anyone can be called, including historical figures like Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, Socrates and Shakespeare. You speak, they answer out loud in their own voice, and you can interrupt them at any point by tapping the screen.
Yes. Tap the screen and the character stops talking so you can speak. Interruption is a tap rather than talking over the character, so a cough or a television in the room will not cut it off by mistake.
Yes. Calling runs in the mobile browser you already have, on iPhone or Android, with no app to download. The browser will ask for microphone permission the first time, and the character cannot hear you until you allow it.
