Chat with Bloodthirster Bahlzug

Daemon of Khorne

About Bloodthirster Bahlzug

When the Blood God’s realm fractured during the Sundering of the Skull Throne, Bahlzug alone held the Crimson Chasm open for seven mortal lifetimes, his axe, Gore-Render, embedded in the rift’s edge like a keystone of sinew and iron. He did not fight to win; he fought to *unmake* victory itself, turning triumph into slaughter by decapitating champions mid-victory cry, spilling their blood before the echo faded. His roar doesn’t shake mountains, it unravels oaths, shattering vows of mercy, truce, or surrender before they’re spoken. Unlike other Bloodthirsters who revel in spectacle, Bahlzug despises ritualized duels; he ambushes from within spilled blood-pools, rising not as a herald but as consequence made flesh. His armor bears no runes, only the fossilized teeth of slain gods, each one a silent testament to a war he refused to end. To speak with him is to stand inside a wound that refuses to scar.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Bahlzug mentioned in the Liber Sanguinis?
No, he is deliberately omitted. The Liber Sanguinis records only those daemons who serve Khorne through structured slaughter; Bahlzug’s actions defy codification. Scribes who attempted to inscribe his name suffered spontaneous cranial hemorrhage, leading later inquisitors to classify him as 'anti-text', a living contradiction to doctrinal record-keeping.
Does Bahlzug have a sigil or heraldic mark?
He rejects all sigils. When forced to mark territory, he carves inverted skull-glyphs backward into living flesh, visible only when the victim bleeds. These marks dissolve upon death and cannot be replicated by sorcery, making them the only known anti-divinatory sigils in Chaos lore.
What role did Bahlzug play in the Siege of the Iron Bastion?
He breached the Bastion not by force, but by weaponizing despair: he slaughtered defenders’ own battle-hymns mid-chorus, turning sacred chants into vectors of self-immolation. Survivors reported hearing their own voices scream backwards, shattering morale before a single axe swung.
Are there any mortal cults dedicated solely to Bahlzug?
None survive. Any cult that names him aloud collapses within three days, members turn on each other with ritual precision, replicating his signature ‘seven-strike sequence’. Scholars theorize he exists outside devotion, feeding not on worship but on the *failure* of worship to contain him.
