AI Anyone's character creator turns a short description into a finished character you can talk to. Write a sentence about who they are, and it drafts the persona, the opening line, a portrait, a voice and the tags. You review it, edit any field, then keep it private, share it by link, or publish it to the public catalog alongside the 13,000+ characters already here.
The default mode is a single text box. A sentence is enough: "A 1990s skater girl who teaches CSS", or "Edison, but he reviews your code". Example prompts sit under the box if you want a starting point. Press Generate and the page shows each piece being written: persona, greeting, image, voice, tags.
Paste a link instead of typing. Give it a Wikipedia article, a YouTube video, a Substack post or a blog post, and the creator reads the page, shows a preview card with the title, summary and lead image, then feeds it to the generator.
Made a character somewhere else? Paste a Tavern character card or choose the card file (PNG or JSON, versions 1 to 3), or paste your Character AI fields one by one. The personality, description, scenario and example conversations land in the personality field, the first message comes along, and the page lists anything that had to be shortened or could not come across. It opens as a private draft in the same editor, so you check every field before you publish.
Nothing is locked in. The preview sits next to a tile showing exactly how the character will look in the Explore grid and on your Hub. Click any field to change it.
Visibility is picked on the same screen, before you publish.
Publishing gives the character a short share link that opens straight into a chat, so anyone with the URL starts talking in one tap. From there you can open the chat yourself, or pair the character with a course and have it teach a multi lesson class as the instructor.
You can start without one: the creator is open to visitors, so you write and generate before anything is asked of you. Keeping the character, saving drafts and chatting with it later need a free account.
The persona, the opening greeting, a portrait, a voice and the tags, plus a proposed name, title and pitch. All of it is editable, and nothing goes live until you press Publish.
Yes. Characters on AI Anyone can be voice-called, not just typed at. Voice is powered by ElevenLabs, and AI Anyone is a proud ElevenLabs partner.
Making characters does not need a paid plan. Voice calling is the metered part: a free account includes 20 minutes of calls per rolling 30 days, refreshing every 30 days. Pro is $20 a month with 240 minutes on the same rolling basis.
No. Private is a real choice made before publishing, and only the public catalog tier submits a character to Explore. A published character stays on your Hub, where its visibility can be changed later.
