The app is free to install on iOS and Android, and the free tier meters the strongest model per day. c.ai+ is listed at $9.99/mo to lift that. The limit belongs to your account rather than to the app, so installing it on a second phone is not a way around it.

Not yet, and the page says so plainly rather than burying it. AI Anyone runs in your phone browser. Open it, use your browser share menu, choose Add to Home Screen, and it launches full screen from your home screen. No app store account, no install size, no waiting on a review queue for new features. A native iOS app is on the roadmap.
The closest in shape are the other character chat apps: Replika for a single ongoing companion, Chai for a mobile-first user-made library, and Janitor AI or CrushOn for roleplay. They copy the roleplay catalogue closely. AI Anyone keeps the character chat idea and adds 13,000+ curated minds across history, science and sport, which is the part the roleplay apps leave out.
Nothing transfers by itself, but a character you made can come across: paste its Character.AI fields or a character card into Bring your character on the create page and it opens as a private draft. Or rebuild one in a sentence: describe the character and AI Anyone builds the voice, personality and knowledge around it.

Being apps. A native build gets you push notifications, an icon you did not have to add yourself, offline shell loading and the discovery of an app store listing. We have none of those today. What we trade for it is no install, no update queue and no cap, which is the right trade for some people and the wrong one for others.
