Character.AI cells come only from its own pages. Where it publishes nothing we can check, the cell says so.

Every one of the 13,000+ characters on AI Anyone can be called out loud, can teach you something as a course, and sits next to history, science, sport, anime and fiction.
c.ai+ is listed at $94.99 a year on character.ai/plus. AI Anyone is free to start, and Pro is $20 a month for 240 minutes of voice calls every 30 days and chat that stays on the full model.
Pro is billed monthly, or yearly where offered, at the price shown at checkout. Cancel anytime in Settings, then Billing, then Manage subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are not charged again. Subscription payments are non-refundable except where required by law.

Characters you made, yes; your chats, no. Once you are signed in, Bring your character on the create page takes the fields Character.AI asks for when you make a character (paste each one into the box with the same name), or a character card, and opens it as a private draft you check before you publish. Past conversations do not come across. Character.AI says you can export your data through its app or website, so keep that copy.
Yes. Every character gets a voice when it is made, and you can call it out loud from a phone or laptop browser. A free account includes 20 minutes every 30 days, and Pro includes 240 and lets you choose the voice a character uses on your calls.
You can browse every character without an account, but sending a message needs a free one. An email address or a Google account is enough, and no card is asked for.
Free chat has no daily message cap. After 100 messages in a day it moves to a lighter model until the next day. Pro keeps chat on the full model.
Chat is 18+, based on the birth year you give when you sign up. From 13 to 17 you can hold an account, browse characters, build your own and take courses, but you cannot send messages to a character.
Yes. A character you make can be public, unlisted (only people with the link) or private, and you can change that later.
Size and the phone. By its own App Store listing, Character.AI is home to millions of user-generated characters and runs as a native app; AI Anyone runs in the browser and has 13,000+ characters. If those two things matter most to you, weigh them before you move.
