Some decisions look obvious in hindsight. At the time, they feel anything but. This is the story of one of those decisions and what it taught us about building something that matters.
There was a specific moment, and we remember it clearly, when we realized AI models had crossed a threshold. It was not about passing benchmarks or impressive demos. It was about consistency.
The model could explain a concept, check for understanding, adjust its approach when the student was confused, and do it all without losing the thread of the conversation. It could teach.
That was the technical inflection point. Not perfection, but sufficiency. Good enough to be genuinely helpful, consistently, across a wide range of subjects.
What This Means for You
This is not just our story. It is a story about what becomes possible when the right technology meets the right mission. If you have ever felt underserved by traditional education, if you have struggled with a subject because the teaching style did not match how you think, then you already understand why we are building what we are building.
The future of learning is personal. It is conversational. And it is closer than most people realize.
I do not know exactly what the next chapter looks like, and that is part of what makes this exciting. What I do know is that we are building something real, something that matters, and something that is already changing how people learn. That is enough to keep going.
Curious about what conversational learning could look like? So are we. We are building it right now.
