Choosing which subjects to launch with was harder than building the technology to support them. Every subject we added required careful thought about scope, difficulty progression, prerequisite knowledge, and the right AI personas to teach it.
We started with the subjects where conversational learning has the biggest advantage over traditional methods: topics that benefit from dialogue, that require explanation at multiple levels of abstraction, that reward curiosity and follow up questions.
The initial 50 grew to 100 faster than we expected, because once the framework was right, extending it became almost natural.
